Newtonhill Parish Church

The Church building stands on the corner of Newtonhill Road and Elsick Place near the bridge over the railway. It was built in 1985 to serve the growing village, replacing the previous building at Bourtreebush.
The congregation is part of the Church of Scotland.

Joined the church in May 2001 from a parish just south of Dunoon.
Married to Ailsa, he has two daughters, Ruth and Rachel.
As well as weekly services, there are a number of other activities to cater for the needs of all age groups and interests.

St Ternan's , Scottish Episcopal Church, Muchals
St Ternan's is the Northern most Scottish Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Brechin. We are part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. The church is located to the WEST of the A90 approx. one mile from the village of Muchalls on the Causey Mounth road where the road branches off to Cookney and Netherley.
We are in the process of advertising for a Priest in Charge, until one is appointed we are operating with a Ministry Team under the direction of the Rev. Canon Ian Stewart.

Though the congregation have at the moment no Priest in Charge they continue to support the various action groups operating within the charge. All are welcome to participate in them.
Each Sunday the Eucharist is celebrated at 10.30am. Weekly services are held on major saint days and are advertised in the Church notice boards and in the magazine.
