Newtonhill and Disrict Bowling Club
Why not come along and try the game at this fantastic village amenity which is open to all. You will be able to enjoy the wonderful coastal scenery, get some fresh air and a little gentle exercise. You can also enjoy participating in a sport which can be as leisurely or competitive as you want to make it.
The club is run on a voluntary basis by its members who are a friendly bunch and new members or any one just wanting to try the game are always made very welcome.
The Newtonhill and District Bowling Club has been in existence for over 26 years and is active throughout the summer months April to September. However since we have an all weather surface the more hardy players can also enjoy the game over the winter.
The club very successfully participates in league competitions with the teams made up of both male and female bowlers. There are numerous in-house competitions & friendly matches to keep us occupied throughout the season.
Hat night
The “Hat night” is an informal competition every Tuesday and non members are welcome to join in. Names are drawn at random to make up teams who then compete against each other with the winning team being given a small cash prize and the honour and glory of winning.
Bingo
We run a monthly Bingo night on the first Saturday of each Month. It starts at 7.30 and finishes about 9.30. there is a £1 entry fee that covers the cost of tea, sausage rolls and biscuits, which are provided during the interval. There is also a small raffle at the end of the evening.
Please come along. You will be made very welcome. You do not have to be a member to visit the club or play bingo.

Opening times / Location
The club opening times during the summer months, is from 2pm till 4pm and 7pm till 8:30pm when matches are being played.
Our ground is to the West of the Bettridge Centre in the Coastal Park.
