extra rubbish collection over xmas

Hiya, just to pass on that the council will be doing a one-off special uplift of bags beside bins with wheelie bin collections between 26th Dec and 6th Jan - think ours is the 29th

just to warn you all - that extra collection between xmas and hogmanay......
I have it on good authority, only black bags and wheelie bins will be collected. Extra waste not in a black bag will not be uplifted. So if you have any large cardboad boxes or whatever, squash them up and put them in black bags.

I'm beginning to think you're right! There seems to be some disparity in what can and can't be put into the white bag.

So for xmas cards we have to either go into the centre of town to WHSmith - oh or Banchory! Or trail to the other side of Aberdeen to Tesco or to the one at Inverurie - gosh thats handy!
