1001 Arabian nights and a Camel

No wish to offend any one but I just have to say how much I dislike camels.
A camel ride in Egypt was a most unpleasant experience. My beast persisted in barging the one next to us jamming the wooden saddle structure into my shin, the saddle made blisters on my coccyx and I developed a head to toe rash full of red weals and blisters, presumably an allergy to the animal.
I do hope the camel coming to the Bettridge is a much friendlier soul, as I can't wait to see the panto.
Any other camel experiences?

Consider that your audition, you are hired for next year's panto!!!! Glad you all enjoyed the show, unfortunately poor Humpy had a bit of an accident on stage on Saturday night, but I am sure his owner tidied up the mess...

See you all next year and many many thanks for all the support from everyone who came along and joined in on all the fun.

Panto is great fun

I'd just like to say that I had a great time at the Panto, although next time I'll wear a disguise so I don't get hauled up to Sand Dance :-)

Panto praises

I too will sing the praises of the Panto, its a super show. Good old fashioned fun and laughter, a real tonic.
Impossible and inappropriate to single out individuals in the cast except to say that I take back all my moans about camels, Humpy is a superb beast, with very cute features and a great sense of rythm. Can't say the same for the sand dancers, maybe you should just along and see for yourself.

Just to let everyone know,

Just to let everyone know, our camel in this year's panto is very friendly. It's name is Humpy and is a very clever camel that can sing and dance!!!! Tickets are still available either from the Bettridge Centre or through Centre Stage. Hope you can come along and enjoy some fun family entertainment.

Panto

Had a wee peek at rehearsals, the panto looks really good, still a few tickets available if you've not got yours yet.

Camels

Been to Egypt quite a few times and had agreat time. First camel ride was in Petra (Jordan) and it was real funny. Camels not smelly boots and well behaved. My Camel drank a whole can of coke, gulped it down and then spat the can out... (easily amused me! lol). Have heard horror stories about camels spitting and biting though.. Guess we were lucky???
