Hello
I am a dog owner.
I pick up my dog's poo - unpleasant though it can be - and dump it in the poo bin down by the viaduct - or take it home.
So why would a dog owner lift poo from the pavement or the road, put it in a black polythene type bag and then dump it - just in under a bush - the same bush - every time their dog poos?
We should be grateful that they have lifted the poo at all - but then why dump it in non degradeable bags!!
If your dog has a poo, please take the poo home and dump it in your wheelie - or better in a poo bin if there's one in your area. I know that there are never poo bins where you need them - but anything would be better than dumping these bags thinking that they will just disappear - or leaving the poo where it was deposited. I was at a meeting in Portlethen when a lady from the Council stated that it was okay to put dog waste in any public bin - as long as it was bagged - so take it home to your wheelie or out with you if you're going out in your car and put it in a public bin.
In one lane near my house, there are at least three bags dumped, all the same type of bag, all in the same spot under a bush. This used to happen on Portlethen Moss as well.
I just don't get it!!
There's dog poo everywhere you go - on pavements, on roads, in parks, on grass. If your dog poos, pick it up!! Don't leave it for others to walk into or around.
You know your dog has done it - so don't kid on that your dog is breakdancing or scratching itself - he/she's having a poo so do the right thing and pick it up!!
You're responsible for your dog - and it's poo - so please try your best to keep the streets clean!
what else is there to say
So much as been said but this problem only seems to get worse. Any one any ideas on how we can encourage bagging and binning?

This still seems to be a big
This still seems to be a big problem. I walk to school everyday and have to dodge all the poo with the buggy. How can some people be so lazy, if they cant clean up their own dog mess then they shouldnt have a dog!! I do see a lot of people cleaning up after their dogs so thank you to them but can the other people please pick it up!!! Im dreading the day one of the kids isnt watching where they are going and either stands in it or falls on it!! Even my 3 year old keeps pointing it out saying that people are bad for not tidying up!
DogPooRant
I have had my say on many occaisions re this mucky subject. I am at a loss as to what can be done to rid our streets of the rogue poops or rather the rogue dog walkers who leave the doings of their pets behind.
Perhaps the message should be "a dog is not just for Christmas its for about 5000 poos needing scooped"

Dominance !!!
Count me out then, Its my ma and sister who rule me.
Pee
Nope Devooshka, human pee, so long as it's male, will give off the right message to any cat that comes into the garden. They will smell that there is already a dominant male on the premises and will scoot off elsewhere.
Pee pee
Presumably you mean from a male cat, or can I just spray my own about?
If mine is ok, I will be available for a small fee to help others.
Are we sure its a dog?
I was running along the coastal path towards Muchalls on Tuesday, and there was a hyowge poo left on the right hand side of the path just about 70mtrs away from the bollard. I was hoping it was a dog, but it did look rather human IMHO. Anyway, someone left it, which is the point.
If I was cynical enough I'd campaign for the resumption of the dog licence with the proviso that every dog was DNA profiled. This would make tracing "poo to postcode" trivial.
My poor next door neighbour endured many a poo from my furry animal and once I found out about this I was across there with a spade and filled a couple of sacks full of cat poo.
If anyone is troubled with cats, good advice is to get some male urine and sprinkle this at strategic spots (corners/doorways) so any cats get the hint that its not their territory.
CCTV
If you have a small home CCTV system that is watching YOUR OWN PROPERTY, you may just happen to see in the edge of the frame, a person who is illegally depositing this dog waste.
You might also have this CCTV system connected to a VCR or DVD Recorder.
The fact you are legally recording something within your own property and "Happen" to have caught an illegal act at the same time, may be of interest to the Police.
I say no more, except these are my personal views and in no way advise anyone to illegally record something they should not as the consequences are outwith my knowledge.
Disgusted dog owner
I too am a dog owner and have noticed recently there seems to be more and more 'un-picked up' dog mess round the village. Even right beside the poo bins. For goodness sake you lazy/ignorant so and so's. Pick it up, either put it in a bin or take it home. It's not rocket science. At times I'm ashamed to be a dog owner.
