Newtonhill & District Village Association

First of all - Happy New Year everyone. Hope you've had nice holidays so far and the weather hasn't spoiled your plans too much.....and talking about the weather - why - even though the weather's been so snowy/icy/cold have the grit boxes not been refilled.

This is the time we all need the grit for our own areas - and for commonly used areas when we appreciate the council are so busy they can't get around everywhere themselves - and there's none to be had. I may be wrong but I don't think theyve been refilled since this cold spell began and with Newtonhill being extra hilly in parts, you would assume that'I also appreciate that some folk are greedy and will take more than they need just in case they need some more in the future but I just think it would have helped the pavements etc of the village if more grit had been available.

Oh no - that's another resolution broken already - I promised not to moan!

Ah well.......
