Are there any mobile hairdressers in the village? I'm needing my hair done for a night out and usual hairdresser has no appointments free. If anyone can recommend a local hairdresser, whether mobile or in a salon, that would be much appreciated.

Noo Noo, did you complain about this and if so what was the answer?
The "shed" they use is very nice on the inside so if you did not see the outside you would never know it was a "shed".

Won't be going back

I took my daughter for a trim and I wasn't happy. They never used water to dampen down her hair and the cut didn't sit at all right. £8 for a kids trim in a shed?! A friend had the same experience with her daughter.

Hairdresser

All members of our family use the local hairdresser behind the Newton Arms and are very pleased with the service and prices.
We have never had any cause for complaint and have had compliments on the style and colour from people we work with, no hesitation in recommending them.
To those who were disappointed I can only say we have never had any problems, as the girls are friendly and willing to do any style asked for,on speaking to them this was the only place they could get in the village to start out and they wanted to see Newtonhill with a local hairdresser once more.
Good luck to them and I for one will continue to use this local service.

2 of my family were in, once

2 of my family were in, once came out and the cut looked chopped/ragged and had longish hairs that had been missed. The other said they was/blow dry made the hair look like a bikers helmet. Another pal son was in and came out with a number 'whatever' [I can't remember!] all over even though had asked for different numbers sides/top/back and another lad just the same. Sorry!

Personally

would not recommend them at all, and I know of 4 others who will not be going back either. Sorry.

Hairdresser

I can recommend the hairdresser , both Nikki and Kirstie used to work at Ricksons in Aberdeen, (Nikki is a local girl).
Very friendly and competent girls and prices are good.
