Well what a brilliant night was had by all at the Fools Quiz held Thursday 1st in the Newton Arms. Lots of hard work put in by organisers Bobbie and Scott Annand saw great attendance and a fine sum of around £500 made for the Christmas Lights display. It was one of those pleasant sociable evenings when the community spirit of Newtonhill gave one a warm and cosy glow, (or was that the alcohol?) It was nice to see many familiar faces and also good to see teams made up of younger members of our community, although I do have slight concerns for my pension! Well done to Brian MCing at his humerous best, the team of markers working feverishly to keep the scores in check and thanks to the Newton Arms for the innovative new twist on stovies.
And finally thanks to the team representing the NVA, "Nameless and Blameless", maybe not the brightest bunch but a very creditable mid table finish.
