Football Parking

Does anyone else feel that parking restrictions should be in place on the road outside the park? there was a line of cars from Park Place almost to the round about tonight.
There is a problem trying to get in or out of the village on match days, if 2 buses are on the road one has to give way as the road is not wide enough with the parked cars, (so much for fit footballers that they all have to travel by car, and tonight it looked like no one shared a car, they must have all taken their own).
I am not saying put down double yellow lines, but no parking cones would make a big difference to the flow of traffic in and out of the village.

It is not a public football

It is not a public football pitched but on some lease as we tried to get a football team to get to use pitch a year ago. Can't remember the exact details on who we contacted at the Council etc, bet def not public - ask one of the Cammach Boys and they should know

Football Parking

Might take you up on that ,can anyone tell me is this a public football pitch the teams play on? and if it is can they throw the public off of it if they are already having a kick about? , not an issue just a question.

Can't say...

Can't say it particularly bothers me, as in general it slows traffic down which can only be a good thing where a park which attracts children is concerned, however I see your point about when two buses meet. But I have to say I have wondered why so many of the footballers seem to drive and why there doesn't seem to be much car-sharing going on.

Note I use the word "seem", to note that that is what I perceive based on the evidence before me, i.e. the parked cars. Perceptions can be wrong, of course.

Really not bothered about it

Really not bothered about it as it's good for the Village to have [2] teams and you can always manage to get through without any major hold up. We were passing last night 1 line traffic park side and a single car opposite - nae bother!

Maybe should have a walk up one time and see them play while the weather is still nice!
